About
Our Story
Stone Oven started with one cast-iron oven and a stubborn belief that bread should taste like the neighborhood it's baked in. We mill what we can, ferment slow, and keep the menu small enough to do it right. Twelve years later we still pull every loaf by hand and still open the doors at 7am with the windows fogged from the morning bake. No chains, no shortcuts โ just one bakery in East Austin doing one thing well.

What we do
On the Menu
Country Sourdough
Naturally leavened, 18-hour proof, blistered crust and an open crumb. Whole loaf or half โ sliced on request.
Morning Pastries
Croissants laminated with European butter, kouign-amann, and seasonal fruit danishes. Baked twice daily.
Cinnamon Knots
Brioche dough, brown-sugar cinnamon, and a cream-cheese glaze. Gone by noon most days.
Drip & Espresso
Single-origin beans pulled to pair with the bake. Cortado, drip, or cold brew for the walk home.
Sandwiches at Noon
Built on yesterday's sourdough โ turkey-avocado, roasted veg, and a daily melt. Available 11amโ2pm.
Whole-Grain Boules
Stone-milled rye and spelt loaves, dense and nutty. Baked Thursdays through Sundays.

- Monday ยท Closed (we rest the oven)
Fresh loaves come out around 8am and again at 1pm. Pre-order whole loaves by phone for guaranteed pickup.
